We hope you enjoy these updates and find the new ‘Ask Envision’ feature particularly transformative! We can’t wait for you to try it out and enhance your Envision experience.
We’re thrilled to introduce an exciting new feature to the Envision App – “Ask Envision about Text.”
This innovative feature allows you to seamlessly engage with your scanned documents and library content by simply asking questions to the assistant. Whether you need summaries, translations, or insights into specific details, “Ask Envision about Text” has you covered and can be accessed from the Reader.
To enhance the accessibility and convenience of this feature, we’re also introducing a new “Voice Mode.” With Voice Mode, you can interact with the AI by simply using your voice, eliminating the need for typing. Speak your questions to the app, and it will provide you with the information you seek.
We’re thrilled to announce a transformative new feature in the Envision App – ‘Explore’. Dive right into the app’s feature list to find it!
With ‘Explore’, your device’s camera becomes an intuitive guide. Think of it as an evolution of our ‘Find Object’ feature. While ‘Find Object’ zeroes in on a specific item, ‘Explore’ introduces you to every recognizable object in its view.
Discover your surroundings, embrace newfound independence, and confidently journey through the world.

You can now continue reading a document while you're outside of the app with 'Background play'. Besides that we've updated the localised strings for Turkish and Italian.
Language updates to Ukranian and Chinese.
Translate: with Envision you can translate documents you scan or import into the app! Envision will automatically detect the language of the page and translate these documents entirely offline in over 50 languages.
Winter Sale: The Envision Winter Sale is here. Get 35% off on the Annual subscription of Envision throughout December 2020!
This update brings a whole new column detection feature to the Envision app. You can now read columned text, such as the ones found in textbooks and magazines, with ease. In our tests so far, it outperforms all other text recognition apps when it comes to column detection. Full disclosure: it does struggle with some newspapers which either have tightly packed columns or unusual fonts. In most neatly designed documents, it should work smoothly. Pick up something around you and give it a try!
With this update we have some minor bug fixes for the Text Tab.
Updated UI layout for the Document Reader.
